James Jefferson (“Jamey”) attained his Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Appalachian State University in 2015.
Immediately after graduation, he then spent the next few years working as an Athletic Trainer for Robert B. Glenn High School in conjunction with Wake Forest Baptist Health located in the Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina. With interest in all athletic training environments, Jamey switched his professional setting to work for Cone Health in one of their Lebauer Healthcare sports medicine clinics, located in Greensboro, NC in 2018. Shortly thereafter, Jamey was offered a Graduate Assistantship at Oklahoma State University, where while he worked for the track and field team, he achieved his Master of Science degree in Exercise Science. After graduation in 2020, Jamey made his way back east to pursue a career closer to his hometown, Wilmington, NC. Jamey has played competitive soccer his entire life and still has a passion for the game today both on and off the field.
