Ainslee was born in Fairfax, Virginia and grew up in Peru, Columbia, Germany, Turkey and Northern Virginia.
She attended James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree with Honors in Health Studies with a minor in Biology. She earned her Master of Science in Health Sciences from George Washington University where she attended Physician Assistant School. During Physician Assistant School, Ainslee was commissioned into the United States Navy under the Health Processional Scholarship Program. upon graduation she entered Active Duty and was stationed at Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, NC. There she practiced Family Medicine, Field Medicine and in the ER/Urgent Care. After completing her tour at the Naval Hospital, Ainslee transitioned to the Navy Reserve where she is currently Officer in Charge of her fifty-member unit. She was recently selected for the rank of Lieutenant Commander and has been awarded two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals during her time in the Navy. Ainslee lives in Apex with her husband, daughter and dog. She enjoys travelling, soccer, hiking and running and qualified for and ran the Boston Marathon in 2016.
