"I've been under the care of three orthopedists for back, neck and knees issues and a neuro-surgeon for spinal pain management for many years. I have long established relationships with each and trust them implicitly. Prior to seeking Dr. Chappell's help with my shoulder pain, I asked each of them who they recommended. Two of them referred to Dr. Chappell as "one of the top two in the state", and the other two had had, or were soon to have Dr. Chappell repair their shoulders. The injury to my shoulder turned out to be an almost complete tear of my rotator cuff. Dr. Chappell performed surgery on March 4th. Ten weeks after my surgery I was totally pain-free, not even a little discomfort. At 12 weeks I have very nearly regained the full range of motion to the shoulder he worked on. I could not be more pleased with the care I received from Dr. Chappell and his staff."

"My teenage daughter was treated by Dr. Chappell for ACL reconstruction after a soccer injury. We were very impressed with the level of expertise of Dr. Chappell. Daughter's outcome has been extremely impressive. She is back on the soccer field and performing at a pre-injury level."

"Beginning with the first consultation with Dr. Chappell and his recommendation for an alternative surgical approach (partial replacement vs. complete) to my shoulder problem, to the surgery that he performed, and ending with my last follow-up visit, I simply couldn't be happier and more satisfied with Dr. Chappell. The office (Cary), the staff, and his assistant are top notch. I was treated like an individual and not just another number in the waiting room. Every question and concern was answered in a thorough and timely manner. I high recommend Dr. Chappell to any friends, family, and anyone who asks."

"Dr. Chappell did an amazing job repairing my massive rotator cuff injury. His surgical skills, combined with the outstanding work done by my physical therapist have made it possible for me to continue to live an active life."

"Dr. Chappell and his support team have been top notch from the early appointments to establish my injury issue right through to the post operative debriefs. During the process Dr. Chappell communicated well in a clear and understandable way which gave me confidence in his ability to correctly diagnose and perform corrective surgery. I later recommended him to my wife for an issue she is having with her knee and she echoes my sentiments. I think that says it all."

"Best Ortho I've had - and I've had 3 with surgeries dating back 20 years now. He took a complex history and gave me a direct plan (with options) on how to best manage my condition and pain. Hard to beat someone who has been one of the team docs for the Lakers, Dodgers and Kings. Easy to talk to - yet direct, which is one of the best qualities I look for in a physician. Can't go wrong with Chappell."

"This is something I never fo, but I wanted everyone to know what Dr. Chappell has fone for me. My first shoulder surgery was November of 2018. Dr. Chappell did not do the first surgery. Needless to say, nothing went well with it. I was then referred to Dr. Chappell by a friend for the second surgery. The second surgery was to correct the issues and concerns from the first surgery. I was surprised when I woke up in recovery and was told the surgery couldn't be completed as planned, due to an infection in my shoulder and that I needed a pic line, in the other arm that ran to my heart, for six weeks for antibiotic treatments. For those six weeks, each day was frustrating, knowing that I was going to have a third surgery on my shoulder once the infection was cleared and that I had antibiotic spacer placed in my affect shoulder with very limited movement, in addition to the day to day hardships brought on by this. Once the infection cleared, Dr. Chappell did my third surgery. Recovery has been very difficult because of the multiple surgeries. I can't thank Dr. Chappell enough for treating me and for giving me a positive outcome, thus far for my shoulder. Dr. Chappell, I'd like to thank you and your staff for your excellent care throughout this whole process. I know this is going to be a long recovery for me, but at least I know I'm on the right path to recovery."

"My son tore his ACL and meniscus playing Lacrosse, and Dr. Chappell was recommended to us by several friends. We were seen quickly for the initial visit, got our MRI, and met with Dr. Chappell. He was kind, patient, confident, and obviously knew what he was talking about. I prefer medical discussions to be frank and honest. He was both, but also kind - and that is not an easy thing to pull off for a lot of people. I felt totally confident in him and his staff, and I was not wrong. Ten months after surgery, my son was cleared for sports. I would recommend Dr. Chappell and his staff all day long."

"Dr. Chappell reattached both of my husband's ruptured tendons to his quads. A simple fall looked to be life-changing, but Dr. Chappell was approachable, was amazing in his surgery, and helped my husband get back to normal life in 4 months!! We expected 9 months to be required. When we had a question about the bandages, we expected to speak with a nurse, but the doctor answered our phone call himself!! We feel very blessed to have had Dr. Chappell for my husband's surgery. He answered all our questions, was friendly and professional, and performed excellent surgery. We highly recommend Dr. Chappell!!!"

"I had a bad fall and shattered my shoulder joint. Dr. Chappell put me back together. I found him to be caring, interested and engaging."

"Dr. Chappell is a wonderful surgeon. I just had my second surgery by him and it was a huge success. He and his staff are very efficient and a pleasure to be around. I highly recommend him! He will continue to be my orthopedic surgeon of choice."
